FOOD
The food in Egypt is very healthy, there are some places where I wont recommend
you to eat: 5*hotels because they bring the food from abroad Egypt are the
worst because the transport they use inside Egypt is without fridges, also is
not recommended to eat food they sell on the streets, some egyptians are not
very clean, they do not mind to touch food while they are touching money.
Don't worry I will take you to a restaurant I take all my students when they
are studying with me, the food is delicious and its always full of egyptian
families and some foreigners.
Calculate you will spend around 10-15 Euros per day in food.
There are also Supermarkets, but when you are all the time dancing, the short
time you are free, you don't feel like spending time to make your cooking, so
it's very practical to just go or call the restaurant and order an egyptian
pizza or take a complete meal, also in many cases is much more cheaper to eat
in the restaurant than buying food in the supermarket.
ACCOMODATION
When a foreigner lives in Egypt is very important to consider WHERE to live,
because en Egypt are Class Levels and depending to which you belong to, you
have to live in that area, otherwise you will get in troubles.
Single students
Normally my students stay in a familiarly hotel next to the dance studio in the
centre of Cairo that cost around 400 Euros for 20 days, an en-suit bedroom with
balcony and air conditioner. The area is well communicated and the owner of the
hotel also owns a travel agency, so he organizes all visits around Egypt for
you.
Groups of 20 students
When there is a big group, there is also a possibility of another
familiarly
hotel which the dance studio is facing the 1st line with the famous
Pyramids.
But its need to be reserve months in advance, beaues the place is
unique in the World. In this hotel most of the rooms are with two beds,
so rooms are to
share, it cost about 800Euros/student for 20 days.
TRANSPORT
Transport in Egypt is not expensive due
that the government its helping so everyone can use it to avoid collapsing the
city.
To have a rented taxi with driver for 1 full day can cost you around 70 Euros.
So if you want to make many Cairo visits in one day, its very useful to get a
driver with a car or taxi. Because Cairo is very crowded and walking is more
dangerous than being inside a car. Is always better if someone like me or
an egyptian helps you to get a taxi for 1 trip or for a full day, otherwise you
can get in troubles because taxis are a nightmare in Cairo, when I see you I
will explain everything to you.
Public transport as Buses is ok if you dress like the Egyptian women, otherwise
you can get in many problems also. Buses can cost you around 10 to 50 cents of
Euro.
There is also Metro, I usually use metro, you arrive quicker to anywhere in
Cairo than using taxis or buses due to the traffic. There are certain ways of
dressing in Egyptian culture, so I will explain everything to you when I see
you before the start of the course, on our first meeting, the Welcoming Meeting.
Metro trips cost 1LE around 15 cents of Euro.
BELLY DANCE COSTUMES
If
you come to study with me, I am shure you would be expecting to get
some belly dancing costumes and accesories. A complete professional
costume with all accesories included Isis, Shamadan, Assaya, Veil,
Sagats starts from 250 euros until around 2000 Euros. To start
performing as a bellydancer anywhere in the world, you should get at
least 5 bellydancing costumes, calculate you will spend around 1000
euros as a starting.
